Naijaland is a place for real, respectful conversation among Nigerians at home and in the diaspora. These rules keep it that way.
Be respectful
Disagree with ideas, not people. Personal attacks, harassment, tribal or religious slurs, and hate speech of any kind will get your account suspended.
No spam or scams
Do not post repetitive content, unsolicited adverts, referral links, ponzi schemes or fake giveaways. Use the Marketplace for genuine buy-and-sell listings.
Cite your sources
When sharing news, link the original source. Deliberate misinformation, doctored images and fake screenshots are not allowed.
Keep it legal and safe
No sexual content involving minors, no doxxing, no threats of violence, no content that breaks Nigerian or international law.
Post in the right category
Choose the most relevant category so members can find your thread. Moderators may move threads that are misplaced.
Marketplace honesty
Describe items accurately, use real photos, and never ask buyers to pay before inspecting. Report suspicious sellers to us immediately.
